Category Manager Direct HirePalo Alto, CA - Hybrid ***On Site 2x a week***$145,000 - $155,000Option 1 Staffing is currently recruiting for a Category Manager with a TOP 10 hospital in the nation. As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category-specific contract coverage and compliance, managing a portfolio of contracts covering medical supplies, non-medical supplies, and purchasing services with a focus on best value and Total Cost of Ownership.Responsibilities:Act as the day-to-day point of contact for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and other supplier representatives.Analyzing current practices (financial, contractual, and operational data sources), standardizing, improving, documenting, and supporting the organization's Category Management processes throughout the lifecycle of initiatives.Negotiate pricing and contracts for products, product groups, and services in collaboration with operational business leaders.Monitor and evaluate contract volume, supply chain information system performance, purchasing volume and flow, and value-based selection reporting and outcomes.Ensure policies are followed across the organization through education to hospital departments and coordination with Finance, Compliance, Office of General Counsel, and Risk Management.Provide input to directors of sourcing and suggest/implement changes and enhancements as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeMinimum 5 years experience in healthcare Sourcing, Value Analysis, Procurement, or category management, in a clinical settingExperience with services - identifying and bringing on services for HR, Marketing and/or ConsultingIf this role piques your interest, apply now and well dive into the details with you.Option 1 Staffing is an award-winning, statewide, recognized leader in staffing and recruiting, specializing in placing the highest caliber of Non-Clinical Healthcare, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Administrative/Office, and Accounting/Finance professionals in contract and direct-hire opportunities.
