Position Description:One of the leading electrical contractors in the region, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee and process weekly payroll operations. This role is responsible for managing payroll for multiple corporate entities and union agreements, as well as handling benefits administration, employee reimbursements, and onboarding processes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Key Responsibilities: Administer and process weekly payroll for multiple entities, including union and non-union employees, in compliance with applicable labor agreements and company policies. Ensure accuracy of timekeeping, wage calculations, and proper application of benefit deductions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various union contracts and coordinate payroll activities accordingly. Interface with union representatives as needed regarding dues, benefits, and reporting. Coordinate enrollment, changes, and terminations in employee benefits programs. Ensure accurate deduction processing and resolve discrepancies with benefit providers. Manage onboarding for new office staff, including payroll setup, benefits enrollment, and required documentation. Process wage garnishments and ensure legal compliance for court-ordered deductions. Review and reconcile employee credit card transactions and ensure proper GL coding. Process employee expense reimbursements and ensure compliance with internal policies. Prepare payroll-related reports for internal stakeholders and external auditors. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.Qualifications: 10+ years experience required Proven experience in payroll management, preferably in construction or a unionized environment. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and multi-entity payroll processing. Familiarity with union contracts and related payroll implications. Experience managing benefits and onboarding processes. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field strongly preferred. Experience with construction payroll software a plus. Working knowledge of general ledger coding and accounting principles.Work Environment/Schedule: Full-time, on-site role.
