This combination allows ATL to meet and exceed our customers needs effectively in a cost-effective manner.Aleknagik Technology, LLC is seeking a Trauma Registry Clinical Data Support Specialist to support out contract at Fort Sam Houston.Duties:Contractor shall collect comprehensive, accurate data relating to registry patients by abstracting all trajectories of care, verify and update all information compiled and enter data into the Registry in a timely manner, perform coding of injuries, procedures, and causes of injuries using standard medical record references, specifically ICD-9/10 codes, assign diagnoses AIS and ICD-9/10-CM codes, and complete ISS and other trauma score calculations for an average of 120 role of care records per week, maintaining a 90% Accuracy Rate, as directed.Contractor shall utilize Abstracting Business Rules as described in data abstraction resources.Contractor shall provide education and consultation to as the AHI/TBI/DoDTR Registry and clinical subject matter experts (SME) to Joint Trauma System personnel and customers.Contractor shall provide training activities specific to clinical abstraction, coding, and business rules for new and existing employees.Contractor shall conduct quality assurance evaluations for clinical accuracy of Registry data at all Roles for Care, maintaining a 90% Accuracy Rate as directed. Contractor shall Conduct Registry Consents as required.Qualifications:Minimum of five (5) consecutive years of nursing experience with at least three (3) years experience as a critical care nurse in a critical care unit, trauma unit, emergency department, or inpatient operating room.Medical or Surgical ICU or Emergency Room or Operating Room or other Critical Care Background required.Experience with medical records, coding, medical data entry and medical system design.Medical or Surgical ICU or Emergency Room or Operating Room or other Critical Care Background required preferred ICD-9 Coding and previous work as medical abstractor preferred.Working knowledge of personal computers and office automation software (Standard Microsoft Office for documents, Outlook, Excel, and Access.Previous Trauma Nursing experience. Military nursing experience is desired.Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing. United States Registered Nurse (RN) licenseProof of immunization for TB Test; Hepatitis B vaccine, titer, or wavier, Tetanus booster within the last 5; and HIV titer.Candidate must have U.S. citizenship, and be able to pass a government background investigation
