Civil Engineering Designer (Costa Mesa)

A well-established architecture and planning firm in Costa Mesa is seeking a Civil Designer / Drafter to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on supporting site planning and civil design efforts for a variety of urban development projects, including mixed-use, residential, and commercial developments.Key Responsibilities:Prepare civil design drawings, site plans, grading, and utility layouts using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop comprehensive design solutions.Produce construction documents, details, and specifications in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.Assist with site analysis, feasibility studies, and coordination with municipal agencies and review boards.Support project teams throughout all phases, from conceptual design to construction administration.Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project standards in all civil drafting and documentation.Qualifications:Associate or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting, or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in civil drafting or design, preferably in urban development or mixed-use projects.Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of GIS is a plus.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Understanding of municipal codes, grading, drainage, and utility design preferred.Why This Role: This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to urban development projects in Costa Mesa, working alongside a collaborative team while honing your civil design and drafting expertise.
