Company Overview:Global Link Distribution is a leading OEM and aftermarket supplier of lock and keyed hardware components for the RV, cargo trailer, manufactured housing, cabinet shop, marine and fence industries. Were seeking a mechanically inclined and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to help streamline our purchasing operations, maintain quality and inventory levels, and support our OEM partnerships in a fast-growing niche of hardware distribution.Role Summary:Were looking for aPurchasing Agentresponsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and replenishment inventory of hardware items-such as functional designed hardware, electronic locks, and fasteners within OEM and aftermarket spaces. The ideal candidate will assist in sustaining inventory levels, support OEM customer programs, optimize costs, monitor vendor performance, and collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, warehouse, quality assurance, and logistics.Key Responsibilities:Review purchase requisitions and forecasted needsAssist in sourcing new and existing products to replenish inventory with optimal goods and favorable termsNegotiate pricing, lead time, freight, and payment terms with vendorsIssue purchase orders and manage the entire order lifecycle-confirmation, tracking, follow-up, and expedited deliveriesVerify receipt of goods, reconcile invoices, handle discrepancies, and maintain accurate purchasing recordsCollaborate with sales, operations, quality, and accounting to ensure materials meet specifications, compliance, and delivery timelinesAnalyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize stock levels, and minimize overstock and stock-outKeep purchasing policies up to date, ensure adherence to company standards, and assist with periodic auditsRequired Qualifications & Skills:Bachelors degree in supply chain, procurement, or related fields; and/or 5+ years procurement or purchasing experienceExperience in the recreational vehicle industry is requiredKnowledge of supply chain best practices, JIT inventory, and vendor scorecardsProficiency in ERP/inventory or procurement software and competent Excel skillsDetail oriented with a mechanical mindsetSolid negotiation, analytical, and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication; ability to build supplier relationshipsHigh attention to detail with strong follow-through, documentation accuracy, and problem-solving abilityWork Schedule and Environment:Full-time, Monday Friday, typically 8am-5pm EST, Elkhart, IN onsite attendance requiredOccasional travel when necessary for vendor or customer visitsBenefits:Competitive salary ranging from $68,000/yr - $75,000/yrHealth Insurance (Including full life, dental, vision offered for employee and family) 401(k), and PTOTo apply, please utilize LinkedIn and/or email your resume and a brief description of your experience to:
