Job Description

Overview: The Mortgage Post Closer is responsible for auditing, packaging, and delivering all required documents to the assigned Investor ("buyer") within the specified time frame given. This includes managing a robust pipeline with various buyers and following the requirements of each buyer's delivery process. The Mortgage Post Closer must confirm delivery of loan files and clear any exceptions or missing documents as may be necessary. This role has a direct impact on efficiency of loan sales and warehouse line management. A Mortgage Post Closer may be cross trained in various routing functions and assist in other areas/functions as determined by the Company. Principal Accountabilities: Perform all auditing tasks within the designated timeframes established by Management. Confirm that the shipped files have been successfully uploaded and received by the designated investor.. Provides missing loan documentation as requested or as applicable. This may include direct contact with a consumer(s) or third-party originator as applicable. Enters pertinent data into LOS, including results of audit and information of file delivery to investor. Manages an individual pipeline to meet company deadlines and documents internal auditing results as required. Ability to maintain high client service levels and provide proactive communication to appropriate sales, or operations team. Work with and support other departments to achieve company goals. Qualifications Minimum: 3+ years Post-closing/Closing experience in mortgage loans; minimum of 5 years strongly preferred. Strong customer service skills and ability to manage difficult conversations to a successful outcome and positive client experience. Working knowledge of conventional guidelines, as well as general Federal and State compliance requirements Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks in a demanding environment. Ability to manage pipeline daily while meeting monthly production and quality goals. Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be detail-oriented and able to efficiently analyze data and documents.
