The Opportunity They are seeking a seasoned Construction Counsel to join their legal team and provide strategic guidance on construction and manufacturing contracts, Texas lien law compliance, and dispute resolution. This is a high-impact role that works closely with operations, procurement, and executive leadership to protect the company's interests and ensure smooth project execution. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate construction and manufacturing contracts, subcontracts, and purchase agreements. Advise on Texas lien law compliance, including notices, filings, and enforcement strategies. Manage claims related to back charges, delays, warranties, and quality disputes. Oversee litigation, arbitration, and mediation in collaboration with outside counsel. Provide proactive legal risk assessments and support contract performance. Develop internal policies and training programs to minimize disputes and enhance compliance. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing. Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in construction and manufacturing law. Deep understanding of Texas lien laws and construction-related statutes. Proven track record in contract negotiation and dispute resolution. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
