Job Description - Assistant Superintendent | Ground-Up Location: New York, NYSalary: $85,000 - $120,000+ Industry: Commercial and Residential Construction *Only US Citizens will be considered for this position* About Us Our client is a a leading, self-performing real estate developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, ground-up projects across New York City. Position Overview The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and project team to oversee daily on-site operations, ensure quality control, and maintain project schedules. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented professional eager to grow into a leadership position in field management. Key Responsibilities Support the Superintendent in day-to-day site supervision and coordination of all trades. Enforce site safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and company standards. Monitor project progress, quality, and schedule adherence. Maintain project logs, daily reports, and documentation. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve field issues. Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout. Foster strong working relationships with field staff, project management, and ownership. Qualifications 2-5 years of construction field experience, preferably in NYC high-rise or mid-rise projects. Background with a self-performing GC or developer a plus. Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and safety requirements. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficient with construction management software and MS Office Suite. OSHA 30 certification required. Compensation & Benefits $85,000 - $120,000 based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package.
