Company Industry : Medical Equipment Manufacturing Title : Facilities Supervisor Pay Range: $120-150k/yr + Additional compensation JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, and skilled individual to join our dynamic team as an Facilities Supervisor. The purpose of this role is to support manufacturing operations and the engineering team to maintain and oversee the maintenance, safety, and daily operations of multiple facilities, managing a team of maintenance staff and contractors to ensure systems and equipment function efficiently and complies with safety regulations. This individual will provide on-going support to day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure fast response to facility repairs, coordinating maintenance, ensuring a comfortable and functional environment for all occupants, and monitoring building operations. As required, this supervisor will collaborate with our production equipment, manufacturing and process engineers, operations personnel and other stakeholders to troubleshoot, repair, integrate, and maintain equipment. This is a full-time, onsite role on our client's campus in Norwood, MA. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and failures. Manage service providers, vendors and contractors to support maintenance and repair of HVAC, Fire Safety, waste management, cleaning staff and other related facilities systems. Promote energy efficiency and sustainable building practices leveraging data and analytics to improve facility performance. Manage equipment end of life and replacement strategies. Develop, implement and mature maintenance schedules and plans for facilities leveraging a CMMS. Develop, implement and train staff in facility policies and procedures. Lead and support EHS objectives and plans. Develop, implement and support emergency response plans, business continuity assessments, and safety improvements. Ensure all repairs and modifications comply with ISO 13485 quality system standards and facility safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of repair and maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair history with a CMMS application. Identify and implement opportunities to improve facility equipment reliability, uptime, efficiency and preventative maintenance procedures. Support and assess strategic facility growth plans and objectives. Manage and approve vendor service contracts, purchase requests, project change orders, and invoicing. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum 10 years of hands-on manufacturing facilities management, preferably in the medical device and/or other highly regulated industry. Demonstrated knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, fire safety, electrical distribution and building maintenance. Experience with Geothermal systems is a plus. Strong understanding of how to operate digital tools such as computers, smartphones and CMMS application(s). Able to generate reports, analyze trends, and assist management in making proactive maintenance decisions. Working knowledge of electrical systems (208V and 480V systems), including sensors, wiring, and testing with diagnostics tools (i.e multimeters, anemometers, manometers). Knowledge and application of GMPs & ISO 13485 system requirements. Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and local building codes to ensure compliance in facility operations. Experience working with operations, safety, and engineering teams to align facility support with production and business needs. Must be customer focused, have a strong quality mindset, and make effective risk-based decisions. Able to successfully organize and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Strong vendor management skills, including ability to evaluate, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors. Ability to lead facility upgrades, renovations, or new installations from planning through execution. Experience with capital projects is a plus Must be able to work in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment, with minimal supervision, and effectively communicate and present to all levels of an organization. Self-motivated, proactive with a positive attitude and practical experience of hands-on attitude. Associate degree in manufacturing technology, mechanical or electrical engineering, or other related fields of study is preferred.
