Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Mechanic (2 Openings) Location: Based in Farmingdale, NY Frequent travel to retail store locations using a company vehicle—clean driving record required. Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm Pay Rate: $21/hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Position Overview Top Retail chain is seeking two skilled Facilities Maintenance Mechanics to support the upkeep and maintenance of multiple showroom and retail properties throughout New York. This hands-on role focuses on ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of both the interior and exterior of various locations. Technicians will report to the Farmingdale headquarters but primarily work on-site at store locations. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required to operate a company vehicle. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing general maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across various building systems Ensuring the mechanical, safety, and aesthetic standards of all facilities are met Conducting preventative maintenance tasks and inspections Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Areas of Expertise (Preferred) Candidates should have working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Carpentry Electrical work Plumbing Flooring installation/repair HVAC maintenance Lock and key systems Low-voltage wiring (Cat5/6, telephone) Landscaping and exterior upkeep General preventative maintenance Qualifications Must have own basic tools Ability to use ladders, scissor lifts, and bucket trucks Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license required (clean driving record) Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
