WalterLane is leading a search for a Chief of Staff to the President of a privately held, rapidly growing wealth management advisory firm that serves UHNW clients. This prestigious firm is recognized as a leader in the industry with 20+ office locations, 700+ employees and more than $100 Billion in AUM. As Chief of Staff to the President, this is a highly visible role where your contribution will have an impact in helping to achieve the goals of the executive and organization. You will serve as a strategic partner to the President, ensuring the efficient execution of priorities, the seamless flow of information, strategic scheduling, and the alignment of initiatives across the company. The position requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to navigate complex and dynamic business environments while building strong relationships at all levels. Position requires 8 - 12+ years of Chief of Staff experience , ideally in management consulting, strategic planning, operations, or a similar environment, and experience as a trusted advisor, problem-solver, and integratorable to anticipate needs, connect the dots across functions, and help translate strategic vision into operational reality. Hybrid role with 1 day weekly in the Boston or Concord MA office Travel required 2 3 times monthly RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Support & Advisory: Serve as a thought partner to the President in setting priorities, shaping agendas, and driving strategic initiatives. Support development, tracking, and execution of the Presidents goals and organizational objectives. Research, prepare, and synthesize information for decision-making. Operational Execution: Oversee key projects and initiatives on behalf of the President, ensuring timely execution and follow-through. Manage the Presidents priorities and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure alignment. Develop executive-level presentations, briefings, and communications. Leadership Team Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across the leadership team. Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-up actions for leadership meetings, offsites, and other strategic sessions. Ensure accountability for action items and project milestones. Communications & Stakeholder Engagement: Draft and edit correspondence, talking points, and internal/external communications. Represent the President in select meetings and engagements. Build trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, serving as an ambassador for the Presidents office. Operational Efficiency & Problem Solving: Identify and address bottlenecks, risks, and gaps in execution. Anticipate needs and proactively develop solutions to emerging challenges. Help streamline processes to maximize the Presidents time and focus on high-impact work. ABOUT YOU: Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred. 812+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in management consulting, strategic planning, operations, or a similar environment. Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth, and complex environment. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus. High integrity, sound judgment, and unwavering discretion. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to travel 2 - 3 times monthly. Personal Attributes Highly proactive and resourceful; anticipates needs before they arise.
