Laboratory Technician (Lancaster)

Positions: Laboratory Assistant & Laboratory Technician 1 Locations: Lancaster, PA Openings: 4 Shift: 5 days On-Site; 40 hours per week Monday - Friday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) Tuesday - Saturday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; 12:00 PM-8:30 PM; 1:00 PM -9:30 PM) Sunday - Thursday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; 12:00 PM-8:30 PM; 1:00 PM -9:30 PM) Start Date: ASAP Interview : 1 Round Interview (In Person) Desired Traits: High School Diploma or GED Basic knowledge of laboratory practices or willingness to be trained. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, excellent work ethic, self sufficient mindset. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks during 10-12 hour shifts. Able to work in a team, dynamic, and fast paced environment. Plusses: AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation. Pipe Petting Experience. Day-to-Day: Insight Global is looking to hire a laboratory technician for a client of ours in the Lancaster, PA area. Below are general responsibilities. Sample preparation, processing detection sponges, & plate reading; weighing, inputting media, documentation. Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner; ensure sample turnaround time goals are met or exceeded. Verify results and submit results to the appropriate personnel for transmission, in a timely manner. Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications. Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Performs other duties as assigned.
