Founded in Brooklyn in 2016, King David Tacos is a woman-owned CPG / Hospitality hybrid food business, focused on making a better on-the-go breakfast. Our breakfast tacos are critically-acclaimed, and we have established the breakfast taco market in New York. We operate out of our 11,000 sf HQ in Prospect Heights, a USDA / FDA facility where all of our products are manufactured, packaged and distributed from daily. Job Summary: We’re seeking a highly organized and dynamic Operations Manager to manage catering and wholesale accounts, facilitate deliveries to partners and KDT retail, and collaborate on event programming at King David Tacos. This role is key to maintaining smooth day-to-day operations while driving customer satisfaction and growth. Benefits: 5 days paid vacation Commuter Benefits Free tacos, queso and coffee daily 50% staff discount on additional items Schedule: 5 days / week, full-time; early mornings and Sunday availability required Please note that the start time of this shift is 5:00am daily Key Responsibilities: Manage catering and wholesale orders from intake to delivery Oversee delivery operations and fleet logistics Maintain strong relationships with current catering and wholesale partners Engage in new partnerships for catering and wholesale in new and existing markets Collaborate on the growth and coordination of events Monitor quality control, compliance, and food safety standards USDA / FDA compliance awareness and reporting as needed Report on sales, performance, and process improvements Improve and build systems to support the business as needed Collaborate with operations team on facilities, supplies, maintenance as needed Manage, train, mentor staff, ensuring operational excellence in alignment with KDT values Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, logistics and/or foodservice management, with a proven track record of leadership and operational success Prior experience in catering, mobile operations, and facilities management is a significant plus Knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, NYC DOHMH) and an NYC Food Protection Certificate (aka Food Handler's License) preferred (or must be willing to obtain) Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and execute effectively Passion for food and delivering exceptional customer service Valid Driver License Equal Employment Opportunity: King David Tacos does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, retaliation, parental status, military service, or other non-merit factor.
