OverviewWe are seeking SF Bay Area residents to join the Community Living Campaign Board of Directors. Join a diverse group of thoughtful, committed people who believe that engaged, healthy, and active older adults benefit all of our communities. Together, we are working toward a San Francisco where we can all live—and thrive—in our homes and neighborhoods as we grow older. We work with San Francisco seniors and people with disabilities to increase the connections, resources, and support needed to age and thrive in their own homes and neighborhoods. We organize free activities and programs like computer classes, healthy aging workshops, senior exercise groups, and grocery delivery. These activities offer practical support and teach valuable skills, and create opportunities for folks to form the friendships they need to age well at home.We also build coalitions, bringing together neighbors, community organizations, businesses, and City agencies to organize and advocate around issues that are too big for any of us to solve alone. Recent coalitions have included the SF Tech Council and the Dignity Fund Coalition.Change the Quality of Life for Fellow San Franciscans!ResponsibilitiesAttend monthly Board meetings (currently via Zoom).Contribute a few hours per month through committees or other areas that align with your skills and interests.Help the Board advocate for aging-related issues and build collaborations with neighbors, community organizations, businesses, and City agencies.Qualifications / ExpectationsCommitment to creating a diverse and inclusive Board and workforce representative of the neighborhoods we serve.Experience or interest in non-profit governance, aging, or community development is welcome; specific background in related areas is a plus.About the Organization / EEOCommunity Living Campaign is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive Board and workforce that reflects the neighborhoods in which we work.
