As we aim to double our impact and serve an additional 2,000 people by 2030, we need the right team members to help us get there.Join us as the Director of Finance, where you’ll manage financial operations, ensure compliance and stability, and support our mission of affordable homeownership.Your Impact:Design and implement strategies to improve finance and operational performance, accountability, and scalability.Analyze financial impacts of operational decisions to support strategic planning and performance management.Lead organizational improvement initiatives focused on cost control, efficiency, and service delivery.Guide teams through shifting priorities, balancing construction schedules, funding pressures, and community needs to advance our mission.Collaborate with various departments to streamline workflows and reporting structures.Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor operational health, financial stability, and mission outcomes.Promote a culture of continuous improvement using project management methodologies.Assess and enhance data governance practices for accurate reporting.Support change management for system upgrades, new workflows, and policies.Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, providing analysis and insights, especially related to platforms like NetSuite, Paycom, and Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge.Dissect complex challenges and translate them into clear action plans for teams.Train staff on business principles, fostering accountability and agility.Continuously seek innovative ways to improve finance municate regularly across organizational functions to maintain rapport and integration.Update policies, procedures, and training resources.Provide content and data for various organizational needs.Manage a team of 2 direct and 9 indirect reports.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related; CPA, MBA, or advanced degree is a plus.8–12 years of experience in financial project management, operations, or process improvement, preferably across non-profit and construction sectors.Familiarity with key systems like NetSuite, Paycom, and Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge is strongly preferred.Proven ability to lead enterprise-level process and technology change initiatives.Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, or similar is preferred.Experience with regulatory, funding, and operational frameworks in non-profits using public funds.Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering on time and budget.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.Passion for mission-driven work and organizational excellence.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and navigate ambiguity.Proficiency in construction-specific software (e.g., Procore, Full Clarity, Sage) is desirable.Experience managing teams to achieve goals and KPIs.Our Mission: We build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.Our Vision: A world where everyone has a decent place to live.Core Values: Lead with service.
