US – Tax – Indirect Tax Technology and Transformation – Senior Manager - Tax Platform Engineer Our mission is to build, sell and deliver differentiated tax technology solutions that help clients manage indirect tax obligations more efficiently and accurately. We focus on implementation/delivery and technology creation/support, delivering comprehensive and reliable solutions to meet client objectives while minimizing tax risk. As a senior manager, you’ll enhance your proficiency in design, promotion and delivery of major technology tools, including application development, data acquisition and transformation, and data analytics and visualization/reporting. You’ll collaborate with tax-technical subject matter professionals to develop and deploy data and technology solutions that enable efficient delivery of high-quality tax consulting services. Your Key Responsibilities Challenge the effectiveness of the tax technology strategy and approach for engagements, building relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Identify opportunities to use technology to accelerate and enhance delivery of indirect tax services; participate in pursuit teams and service delivery teams supporting client projects. Develop a technically diverse and talented team while managing activities focused on quality and commercial value. Lead and participate in designing architecture, data analytics, and technology solutions aligned with client needs and EY standards. Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to deliver transformative tax technology solutions and maintain strong client relationships. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in technology, information science, accounting, or finance with 7+ years of related experience; or a graduate degree with ~6+ years of related experience. Approved technical certification, CPA license or state Bar membership. Hands-on experience architecting and delivering data-driven solutions using modern analytics and AI technologies. Experience with Microsoft Azure, IBM watsonx, or Databricks stack. Strong interest in AI and emerging technologies to optimize business processes. Experience designing scalable databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, to support analytics. Strong communication skills with executive stakeholders; ability to explain complex architecture to technical and non-technical audiences. Adaptive mindset to evolving customer needs and market trends; strong organization and time management in a hybrid environment. Leadership experience with cross-functional teams and mentoring; experience implementing software development best practices. Ability to travel as required to support client engagements.
