OverviewDirector - Sourcing at WescoBase pay range$136,954.00/yr - $239,670.00/yrJob DescriptionAs the Director - Sourcing, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives to secure cost-effective goods. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and establishes key metrics, and mitigates supply chain risks to ensure efficiency and continuity.ResponsibilitiesPartners with key business leaders and cross-functional leaders to establish commercial priorities.Identifies customer needs and leads relationships with major suppliers; gathers insight on suppliers’ key differentiations and sets strategy to improve the overall quality and pricing of products and services.Conducts market analysis to monitor trends, mitigate risks, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Manages key supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, to ensure performance and quality.Establishes aligned key metrics for assigned categories and holds the team accountable to deliver on goals: cost savings and avoidance, quality, reliability, and timely execution.Drives process improvement, best practices, and performance across the sourcing organization.Builds, develops, and leads a strong and knowledgeable team in support of business objectives.QualificationsBachelors Degree - Supply Chain or Business Related Field required; Masters Degree preferred8+ years experience with oversight of the design and implementation of a strategic sourcing function including strategy, organization, processes, and technology8+ years Contract negotiation and knowledge of key contractual language5+ years experience with online sourcing platforms3+ years experience leading a team of direct reportsAbility to collaborate with business operations and functional groupsExperience leading change managementExcellent communication, leadership, and presentation skillsAbility to influence individuals and teams with or without reporting relationshipsFinancial acumen to develop complex financial models, including total cost of ownership modelsPractical problem-solving approach to business issues, business-minded, results-oriented, and a team playerExcellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problemsAbility to identify profitable business opportunities and work with leadership to review and convert strategic quotation opportunitiesAbility to think critically and implement effective solutionsAbility to travel 0% - 25%Compensation Details: $136,954 - $239,670 Annually. This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements. For eligible positions, compensation may also include participation in a bonus or sales compensation plan paid according to achievement against sales targets and/or business objectives. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package.
