OverviewSteampunk is seeking a positive and innovative HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Government Sector and HR team. The HRBP aligns the organization’s people strategy with its business strategy, partnering across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees. The HRBP is a change agent and strategic partner for the business, working with Operations leadership to set priorities, drive values, and deliver business results.A successful candidate must be a team player with excellent communication, analytical and people skills. They must be flexible, responsive, and capable of critical thinking with a solutions mindset. The role operates in a fast-paced technical Government Contracting environment and requires agility to changing needs and priorities. Great opportunity for growth in the HR field!ResponsibilitiesSupports the HR Team with important HR matters to determine issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide resources and supportProvides HR guidance and assistance regarding employee relations issues, performance improvement plans, terminations, retention strategy, training and development, conflict resolution, investigations, and related activitiesIncorporates the HR body of knowledge into daily operations and business solutionsAssists employees and management with employee relations issues, policy interpretation, open and direct communications, conflict resolution, performance management and conduct-related issuesAnalyzes sector and program metrics and trends with management and HR to develop systemic solutions for turnover/retention and policy/procedure improvementsFosters engagement and supports a high-trust environment reflecting the company’s culture and valuesMaintains knowledge of federal, state, and local legal requirements in a Government Contracting environment to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory complianceManages and resolves complex employee issues to ensure compliance with applicable laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA accommodations, leave)Assists program management and employees with new hire integration, career path development, promotions, transfers, etc.Assists or conducts organizational training for programsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications3-5 years’ progressive HR experience in Government ContractingBachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management, or related disciplinePHR or SHRM-CP CertificationADP Workforce Now experienceWell versed in the total body of Human Resources knowledge and its practical applicationStrong business acumen and experience delivering HR solutions aligned to business needsExperience delivering HR special projects and related analysisKnowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment lawsExcellent internal customer service and collaborative interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic growth environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with quality resultsData/metric analytical and problem-solving skillsConfident public speaking and presenting skillsEthical conduct and confidentialityProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteRequired to come to the office 2-3 days per week #J-18808-Ljbffr
