We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join Withum’s Forensic and Valuation Services Group.The Senior Associate will work on a variety of assignments within the Forensic and Valuation Services Group in the Corporate Value Consulting Team. The cornerstone of our success is the dedicated professionals who work here every day, whose mission is to help our clients grow and thrive.How You’ll Spend Your TimeOverseeing valuation analyses for tax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes (enterprise values, stock options, warrants, convertible debt, equity allocations across complex capital structures, and other complex securities/derivatives) primarily in ExcelImplementing and improving processes in performing valuations and writing and preparing client deliverables (reports, letters, and other documents)Assisting in review of third-party appraisals for audit support purposesAssisting in the development and maintenance of models using Excel and VBA for Monte Carlo, lattices, or other complex methods as requestedReviewing and gaining a sufficient understanding of the necessary tax and financial reporting guidance governing the analysisQualificationsBachelor/'s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or similar quantitative discipline2+ years of performing valuations for financial reporting purposes (ASC 805, ASC 305, ASC 820, ASC 718) is requiredIn-depth understanding of valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricingExperience in valuation of complex financial instruments is strongly preferredValuation related certification including ASA, CVA, ABV, CEIV, or CFAAdvanced knowledge of Excel and Capital IQ preferredAbility to program in VBA and/or other statistical package a plusCapacity to work independently on projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsCompensation and BenefitsThe compensation for this position will vary by location. Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
