Position Overview Vice President - Commercial Credit Sales is a role at Libertas Funding, LLC responsible for leading origination efforts across the Northeast region. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to identify, build, and grow relationships with commercial clients generating $10 million to $100 million in annual revenue. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in commercial lending or lower middle-market banking who want to leverage their networks and experience within a more entrepreneurial, private credit platform. Key Responsibilities Client Acquisition & Relationship Development: Proactively source and originate private credit opportunities by targeting middle-market businesses ($10M–$100M revenue range) across various industries. Market Coverage: Build and manage a growing client and referral network across the Northeast—including direct clients, bankers, CPAs, attorneys, financial advisors, and intermediaries. Sales Execution: Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal structuring in partnership with internal underwriting and credit teams. Referral Channel Expansion: Leverage existing relationships (e.g., commercial banks, investment banks, regional lenders) to build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities. Reporting & Insights: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline; provide insight into market trends and client needs to inform strategy and product development. Ideal Candidate Profile 7–10+ years of experience in commercial lending, banking, private credit, or related financial services, with a focus on middle-market companies. Demonstrated success in originating and managing relationships with businesses in the $10M–$100M revenue range. Demonstrated annual credit production achievement at a bank or commercial private credit firm over multiple years. Self-starter and proactive business developer who can generate interest and build new client relationships without relying on the visibility of a major institution. Strong network of COIs, including bankers, brokers, wealth advisors, and corporate finance professionals. Ability to understand and articulate complex financing structures, including bridge, mezzanine, and specialty credit solutions. Highly self-motivated, independent, and capable of building a book of business with limited direction. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CTP) a plus. Location & Travel This is a Northeast-based role (preferred locations: NYC Metro, CT or NJ). Regional travel is expected to meet clients and attend industry events. Why Join Libertas Funding?
