We ensure compliance with laws and regulations and provide legal support across the organization, especially for our global sales teams. We seek individuals eager to handle a variety of legal issues and grow with a high-growth cybersecurity SaaS company.Where does this role fit in?We are looking for an experienced General Counsel (GC) to lead our in-house legal team as we scale our pre-IPO business. Reporting to the COO, the GC will provide global leadership and build relationships across the company and with external stakeholders. This role is ideal for an ambitious lawyer wanting to lead legal functions in a rapidly growing cybersecurity company.What will you do?Act as a strategic legal advisor to executive leadership, identifying risks and opportunities.Build and scale a technology-enabled legal team, leveraging AI and automation.Lead a B2B SaaS contracting team, implementing scalable processes.Provide product legal counseling to support compliant product launches.Develop and oversee a compliance program covering data privacy, trade compliance, AI governance, and ethics.Manage corporate legal activities, including governance, M&A, and fundraising.Manage intellectual property strategies, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets.What will you bring?10+ years of legal experience, preferably in-house at an international B2B SaaS company.4+ years in a leadership role managing legal teams.Law degree and good standing with the relevant legal authority.Ability to integrate legal, technical, and business perspectives.Experience with SaaS contracts and complex deal negotiations.Strong collaboration skills across global, remote teams.Knowledge in commercial contracts, privacy, AI governance, employment, IP, and compliance.Experience with AI tools and workflow automation in legal operations.What's in it for you?Monthly lifestyle subsidy for wellbeing.Work-from-home setup allowance.$1500 annual learning and development allowance.Generous PTO and annual leave.18 weeks paid parental leave.Personal leave for sick and caring needs.Fully remote environment with optional office visits.Top hardware provided.Access to industry-leading AI and automation tools.UpGuard is a Certified Great Place to Work in multiple countries, with 99% employee approval.
