We move fast, with precision, and always execute with privacy at the forefront.We/'re looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join Snap!ResponsibilitiesOwn the consistent delivery of high business impact across major product areas such as Messaging Client Performance & Platform, Messaging Core Product FeaturesManage and mentor a team of developers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environmentCollaborate with Product, Operations, Data Science and Engineering teams, and executive stakeholdersLead by example, continuously pushing the team towards aggressive execution and high standards of technical excellence and qualityEvaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentorHire, grow and retain high-performing team members by creating growth opportunities, giving regular feedback, and managing performanceLead a team of 10+ mobile client engineers with expertise building platforms to unlock greater developer efficiency and growth impactKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBackground with building high availability and mission critical systemsExperience with leading an engineering teamAbility leading and executing large, complex technical initiativesOutstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategic plans to diverse audiences, from individual contributors to executive leadershipA passion for building high-quality, impactful products that delight usersDeep understanding of mobile client architecture, performance bottlenecks, and best practices for large-scale, resilient applicationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor/'s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in an Engineering Management role, explicitly owning outcomes for a major product roadmap or large engineering systemProven track record of successfully leading, hiring, growing, and retaining high-performing engineering teamsPreferred QualificationsDemonstrated ability to drive complex, high-scale client-side projects across multiple platforms (iOS, Android), ensuring technical quality and operational excellenceExperience in driving performance optimization, platform development, and critical feature delivery for consumer-facing mobile applicationsDeep understanding of mobile client architecture, real-time communication systems, performance bottlenecks, and best practices for large-scale, resilient applicationsExperience working as an individual contributor on Android or iOS production applicationsExperience with significant re-architecture or foundational platform projects in a fast-paced environmentExceptional strategic thinking and ability to translate complex business challenges into concrete engineering initiatives and roadmapsOutstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategic plans to diverse audiences, from individual contributors to executive leadershipA passion for building high-quality, impactful products that delight users and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and socially safe team environmentInclusion, Benefits and PrivacyIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information (Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The base salary ranges vary by pay zone: Zone A: $229,000-$343,000; Zone B: $218,000-$326,000; Zone C: $195,000-$292,000 annually.
