At Linqia, you’ll be working with others who are passionate about marketing in a fun, fast-paced, and data-driven environment.RoleThe Director / VP Sales will be responsible for executing a consultative sale to Fortune 1000 brand, shopper, and media agency teams. The ideal candidate is a creator marketing and influencer expert (strong digital, social background), a hunter, solution-based seller and results oriented. You should have established client relationships in the CPG, QSR, finance, or healthcare / pharma verticals. You will own the entire sales cycle and be responsible for prospecting, understanding the customer’s needs and presenting solutions as a trusted partner.ResponsibilitiesWork directly with Fortune 1000 Companies and / or their agency partners to educate them on the merits of creator marketing and the value of creator contentApply a consultative sales approach that focuses on client objectives, but also maintain a sense of urgency on closing dealsConvey our solution with passion, focusing on the value of targeted, trend-forward, creator-generated content at scaleUnderstand the value of data-driven media solutions and leverage insights and analytics to penetrate clients and close dealsDevelop strategic client relationships through large ($1M+) annual and multi-year contractual commitmentsDrive opportunities to close in quarter with an eye toward building a strong pipeline for subsequent quartersBuild a book of business from the ground up, mentor team members, and prepare for additional leadership as we scaleHelp develop and refine our in-market partner approach by becoming a lead storyteller and educating clients on our platform’s best practicesApply creativity, demonstrate accountability and maintain a deep understanding of Linqia’s services and business modelWork in a highly dynamic environment with a proven ability to balance competing demands and priorities and operate independentlyProactively manage a rapidly growing sales pipeline/channelBe comfortable with carrying a sales quota, be accountable for delivering revenue, and expect to be handsomely rewarded for overachievingQualifications+7 years of proven success selling in digital sales and/or online media to executive-level brand clients / agency partnersEstablished and transferable relationships in CPG, restaurant, apparel or entertainment verticalsProven track record of consistent quota achievement above goalDemonstrable experience closing committed deals in excess of $1M annuallyStrong consultative sales skills, collaborative + flexible workstyle, while maintaining competitive drive to winA passion for developing creative ideas for clients through leveraging data to deliver optimal client valueDeep knowledge of promoted and organic best practices on all major social media platformsExperience navigating, communicating and leading in a cross-functional environmentDeep understanding of the advertising industry--including client-direct and key agency relationshipsExcellent presentation/pitch, public speaking, problem solving and negotiating skillsCan have fun while working hard!Note - This role is working remotely, but must be based in the Chicago metro area.This position description is intended to describe the duties most frequently performed by an individual in this position.
