This project is a vertical short drama with gameplay integration. This role is ideal for a filmmaker who has previously directed a vertical and is passionate about fast-paced, story-driven vertical short-form content. Experience working in games is a plus as addition to your resume, please submit your directing reel. You must have at least one relevant directing credit. Experience in directing romance stories and period pieces is preferred.ResponsibilitiesPre-Production: Collaborate closely with producers to align creative direction with audience goalsProduction: Plan and direct vertical short-form series from prep through wrap, filming internationally. Ensure creative vision is executed effectively within time and budget constraintsProduction: International travel is a requirement for this position.Post-Production: Work with the editor through post, reviewing cuts and provide clear and actionable editing notesPost-Production: Collaborate with post team, producers, game developers, and studio executives to create product aligned with the vertical pacing standards and company vision.QualificationsPrior vertical short drama directing experience (required)Ability to lead a film crew on-set, internationally (required)International production experience (required)Graduate of an accredited film schoolStrong visual storytelling skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesHighly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced production environmentGame development experience is a plusUnderstanding of Unreal Engine is a plusExperience in virtual production is a plusProficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plusPlease submit a cover letter, which must include a link to your portfolio or director’s reel.
