About UsThe Society of Dermatology Physician Associates is dedicated to advancing the DermPA profession through knowledge, advocacy, leadership, and engagement. We are committed to ensuring our members thrive by providing programs and services to support their professional development and professional practice over the span of their career as a DermPA TM.Job SummaryThe Director of Membership & Operations will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, engage, and retain members. This role involves overseeing membership programs, managing membership-related communications, and ensuring a high level of member satisfaction. This position also ensures SDPA/'s technology and reporting systems effectively support its mission and strategic goals. The Director of Membership & Operations works closely with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners to drive operational excellence and organizational growth.ResponsibilitiesMembership ServicesMembership Recruitment & RetentionDevelop and execute strategies to increase membership acquisition and renewal rates.Create and manage outreach campaigns targeting prospective members, lapsed members, and key professional segments.Collaborate with marketing team to craft compelling messages about the value of membership.Design and implement onboarding and engagement activities for new members.Member Benefits & EngagementEnsure timely delivery and promotion of member benefits, resources, and services.Partner with education and meetings team to enhance member offerings.Gather member feedback to identify opportunities for new benefits and continuous improvement.Serve as a primary point of contact for member inquiries and support.Data Management & ReportingMaintain accurate membership records in the association management system (AMS).Monitor and analyze membership trends, demographics, and participation levels.Develop dashboards and reports on membership KPIs for staff leadership and board.Use data insights to recommend strategies for growth and engagement.Collaboration & LeadershipWork cross-functionally with staff to align membership strategies with organizational goals.Support membership-related committees and task forces including the Membership Committee and the IDEA (Inclusion, Committee).Support SDPA/'s volunteer initiatives including volunteer elections, call for volunteers, volunteer recognitions, and volunteer onboarding.Contribute to budget planning and manage membership program expenses responsibly.Support membership programs including: annual awards, PA Week recognitions, Career Center, SDPA Connect member forum, and SDPA Merch Store.Other DutiesOther duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor/'s degree in marketing, business, or a related field (Master/'s degree preferred).Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in non-profit membership development, including membership retention, membership recruitment and development of membership benefits.Strong understanding of membership recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies.Proficiency with association management systems (AMS), CRM platforms, and data analytics.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Experience working in a professional society, trade association, or nonprofit environment preferred.Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial reports.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative, multi-task, be a team-player, be flexible, adapt to shifting priorities, and prioritize work.Familiarity with Your Membership, YM Careers, and Higher Logic a plus.Personal AttributesMember-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value.Results-driven with strong accountability for KPIs and outcomes.Good judgment and ability to function independently and work collaboratively.Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Ability to work virtually from a home office, as required.Flexibility and the ability to work across time zones is essential.Travel to conferences and other meetings, as required.Enjoys and thrives in team collaborative environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
