Who we are looking forInvestor Relations (IR) is responsible for cultivating and managing State Street’s relationships with institutional investors and research analysts across both equity and fixed income markets. The IR team plays a critical role in communicating the company’s strategy and financial performance to the investment community, ensuring a clear and accurate understanding of State Street’s strategic direction and financial position.By fostering transparency and consistency in messaging, IR helps maintain a stable, high-quality investor base. This is achieved through various channels, including quarterly earnings calls, investor presentations, industry conferences, and direct investor meetings. Additionally, IR works closely with senior management and the Board of Directors to relay market sentiment and investor feedback, supporting informed strategic decision-making.The Vice President, Fixed Income Investor Relations reports to and partners closely with the Senior Vice President, Head of Fixed Income Investor Relations, in developing and executing State Street’s Fixed Income IR strategy. This role plays a key part in supporting the firm’s engagement with the fixed income investment community as part of the broader Investor Relations function.The incumbent will help shape and deliver State Street’s investor relations strategy for debt investors and other key fixed income stakeholders, ensuring clear, transparent, and effective communication of the company’s financial performance, funding strategy, and risk profile. The role includes direct responsibility for managing relationships with buy-side and sell-side analysts focused primarily on U.S. financials.This position will collaborate extensively with State Street’s Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis teams, as well as other Finance functions and business units, to gather and synthesize information that supports analytically driven and consistent messaging. Additionally, the individual will have the opportunity to contribute to the broader IR strategy, including engagement with equity analysts.What you will be responsible for as VP, Fixed Income Investor Relations:Assist in the development and execution of State Street’s fixed income investor relations strategy in collaboration with senior IR leadershipHelp organize and execute fixed income investor events, including roadshows and conferences as requiredContribute to the creation of fixed income investor materials including presentations and management Q&A documents as required, ensuring messaging is analytically driven and aligned with corporate strategyAssist in managing relationships with buy-side and sell-side credit analysts, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of public informationMonitor and analyze fixed income market trends and investor sentiment to shape the firm’s messaging and engagement strategyServe as a resource to senior leadership on fixed income market dynamics and investor expectations. Track and analyze trading activity, credit spreads, and investor behavior to inform IR strategyHelp inform funding strategy and capital planning through investor feedback and market analysisCollaborate with Treasury, Finance, Legal and other teams on the execution of debt issuancesSupport interactions with credit rating agencies. Must also adhere to all State Street compliance procedures and internal operations risk controls in accordance with all regulatory standards, requirements and policiesRemains current on economic, political, regulatory, financial industry regulations, stock market outlook and other topics important to the operations of State StreetEducation & Preferred QualificationsA minimum of 8 years of experience within the following areas: investor relations, ratings agency research, fixed income credit analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking with a focus on financialsA high level of numeracy with a detailed knowledge of bank financial analysis and fixed income valuation techniquesCFA or equivalent qualification highly preferableProven success of being able to work independently with an owner’s mindset, while also being an energetic and collaborative team player with a proactive can-do attitudeDemonstrate high attention to details and adapt quickly to work in a fast-paced environmentAn uncompromising ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercise sound judgment and the highest level of discretion in handling material non-public informationExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with the ability to be a credible adviser to senior stakeholdersAbility to develop an excellent network of relationships within an organizationStrong presentation skills, with detailed knowledge of PowerPoint and ExcelAbout State StreetWhat we do.
