Principal Designer, Document Cloud

This role focuses on extending Adobe Acrobat features and functionalities across surfaces and partnerships, infusing key functionality from Adobe Express into Acrobat to democratize beautiful designs for everyday knowledge workers, solopreneurs, and individuals worldwide.With more than 650 million monthly active users, Document Cloud products are ubiquitous in work and life. Join us to make a lasting impact on how the world works with This Role, You WillVisionary Design Leadership: Craft high-quality, expert-level concepts for the future of document workflows powered by generative AI, and advocate for strategic pivots to realize this vision.Strategic Innovation: Develop long-term strategies, identify uncharted business opportunities, and align them with user needs.Rapid Prototyping: Visualize and prototype ideas through sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead design sprints and collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers to deliver cohesive experiences.User Advocacy: Use customer feedback, research, and data analytics to inform design decisions that delight users and solve complex problems.Executive Communication: Present design strategies and concepts to senior executives, leveraging storytelling and data to inspire alignment and action.What You Need to SucceedMust-haveRelated degree or 8+ years of equivalent product design experience with a proven track record.Technical proficiency with AI capabilities, Figma and AI prototyping tools, and a strong visual design ability that can elevate brand guidelines.Leadership experience mentoring teams and fostering an inclusive environment that empowers designers to innovate.Strong communication skills with confidence presenting work at all levels, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with clarity.Strategic thinking to identify new opportunities, influence roadmaps, and bridge design and business objectives.Collaborative experience working with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life.Nice-to-HaveExperience with generative AI technologies or document-related tools.Prior experience in creative agencies or enterprise teams using lean startup methodologies.Experience unifying disparate experiences into a high-quality user experience.Preferred Accessibility Design SkillsExperience designing accessible interfaces for people with disabilities.Understanding of applying WCAG conformance criteria in design, including testing comps, wireframes, and prototypes for accessibility.Accessibility certifications such as CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or ADS from IAAP are preferred.About Adobe DesignAdobe Design creates tools that amplify the world’s ability to create and communicate.
