The CFO catalyzes driving organizational transformation and links strategic goals with the financial objectives of the business. THE CFO uses economic data to advise, challenge, and contribute to operational decision-making and management of risk aligned with the vision, mission, and values of ACCESS.Core Job ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning and StrategyServe as a strategic partner to the CEO and help guide, communicate, and execute the strategic vision and plan for ACCESS.Responsible for developing financial strategies, plans, and forecasts aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.Work in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team in implementing the approved organization strategic plan. This involves assessing the financial performance of the company, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to achieve financial goals.Responsible for the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets in collaboration with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team.Evaluate and anticipate current and future economic, social, and governmental influences on ACCESS/'s financial performance, continually interpreting and addressing the potential impacts, and providing recommendations and/or alternatives to achieve the best results.Financial Reporting And AnalysisOversees the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, statements of activities, and cash flow statements.Analyzes financial data and provides insights to support decision-making by the senior leadership team and the board of directors.Performs financial and cash flow forecasting and anticipates major financial headwinds that the organization could face in the future. Collaborates with the COO and CMO on managing health center productivity and financial metrics.Promotes and develops best practices in productivity and supply cost management. Leads the development of short- and long-term financial goals and objectives.Risk ManagementIdentifies and manages financial risks, credit risks, and operational risks. Implements strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the financial stability of the organization.Responsible for monitoring and auditing financial internal controls throughout the organization to ensure ACCESS//'s financial integrity.Responsible for establishing the relevant policies and procedures of the various functions and departments under his leadership.Capital ManagementManages the organization/'s capital structure, including debt and equity financing. Makes decisions regarding capital investments, potential mergers, and acquisitions to optimize the organization/'s capital resources.Grants Fiscal Management And Financial ComplianceOversees the grants/' fiscal management of the organization.Ensures compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, including tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory filings.Responsible for the completion of the annual financial and single audit reports. Works closely with auditors and regulatory authorities to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.Financial PresentationDevelops and maintains a trusting relationship with the Finance Committee members of the Board of Directors.Regularly presents financial statements and other reports to the board, senior leadership team, and to any other parties as needed.Treasury ManagementResponsible for implementing the organization/'s investment policy. Works with the CEO and Finance Committee to revise the policy as needed.Manages the organization/'s cash flow, liquidity, and investments. Optimizes the use of cash and short-term investments to support the organization's operations and strategic initiatives.Financial OperationsOversees the day-to-day financial operations of the finance, revenue cycle, pharmacy, and labs services, and facilities departments.Implements efficient operational processes and systems to improve productivity and accuracy.Leadership And Team ManagementProvides leadership and direction to the team, including setting objectives and key results (OKRs) in support of the organization’s strategic objectives.Manages performance, communicates expectations, provides coaching and feedback, and provides development opportunities.Fosters a culture of engagement, continuous improvement, and accountability.Other Duties are assigned.Requirements/PreferencesMaster’s degree (MBA/MHA) with a finance/accounting focus requiredCPA requiredMinimum 10 years of progressive management experience; holding the current title of Vice President of Finance or Controller in a mid-size to large medical group (100+ providers) (or achieving the CFO title in a small medical group plus 15 years in healthcare finance overall) required.Breadth of financial experience, including significant knowledge and expertise in auditing, budget, capital reporting, cash management, cost accounting, decision support, financial planning and analysis, general ledger, and payrollFinancial acumen and credibility related to ROI, financial forecasting, cost/benefit analysis, accounting, and financial decision making.Proven leadership, collaboration, and responsible influencing required.Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite required.Working Conditions/EquipmentNormal office environmentRemote working options; must have a suitable and secure remote working environmentAbility to sit for up to 4 hours at a timeComputer/laptopPhone/Fax/Copier/ScannerACCESS is a Network of Federally Qualified Health Centers treating patients on the frontlines of community-based health care.
