Job Description

CMD Electric is dedicated to excellence in every project. Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager/Project Managers with the pre-project planning process. Assist with tasks required to develop and maintain budgets, including reviewing field timesheets, material invoices, and monitoring progress. Assist in the preparation and management of purchase orders, purchase order modifications, subcontracts, subcontract modifications, and requests for information (RFIs). Assist in the preparation and management of change orders in Accubid Change Order Pro (training in estimating and Accubid Change Order Pro may be required). Help update construction documents and distribute them to vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. Review and comprehend project plans, specifications, and contract requirements, updating them as the project progresses. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Ensure adherence to safety regulations, codes, and industry standards. Travel to conduct site visits to monitor progress and maintain quality control. Foster and maintain relationships with General Contractors, engineers, designers, and other external project team members. Assist with material procurement and coordination for the Project Manager and Superintendents. Qualifications Construction Management degree is helpful but not required; related field experience is a plus. Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in electrical construction is preferred. Understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards is a plus. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed (travel within Southern California).
