OverviewThe Space Tech Recruiter | 150+ Successful Staffing Projects | VP @ EVONASoftware Engineering Manager | Hybrid | Irvine, Seattle, Arvada, or DC MetroAre you a hands-on engineering leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments?We’re supporting a pioneering aerospace technology company that is scaling their software development team and looking for a talented Software Engineering Manager to guide their next phase of growth.This is a chance to join a collaborative, mission-driven team where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping software strategy, mentoring engineers, and still keeping your hands on the code when it counts.What you’ll be doingLead a cross-functional team of backend and frontend engineers, starting with 7–8 and scaling to 15+Balance technical leadership with hands-on coding (around 10 hours per week)Drive resource planning, velocity, and delivery to meet roadmap milestonesMentor and support the professional growth of engineers at different stages of their careersCollaborate with product and engineering leadership to align technical execution with company visionFoster strong incident response practices and host post-mortems to strengthen processesWhat we’re looking forProven experience managing software engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environmentStrong software engineering foundation, with ability to code and review code across multiple languagesExperience across both backend and frontend development (aerospace industry knowledge is a plus, not a must)Background in Agile methodologies and software development life cycle best practicesStrong communication skills, able to bridge technical and non-technical discussionsClearance is advantageous but not requiredLocationHybrid, with office options in Irvine (CA), Seattle (WA), Arvada (CO), or the greater DC Metro area. #J-18808-Ljbffr
