OverviewJOB TITLE: GLOBAL IT DIRECTORCentral Purpose:The Global IT Director is responsible for providing leadership for all IT functions across the company, establishing and maintaining robust IT systems and procedures to ensure optimal support for the company’s services. Initially, this role will oversee the overall development, configuration, and ongoing support of the company’s IT systems, ensuring continuous availability and security.Success in this role requires strong leadership, the ability to build effective relationships with senior management, support functions, and field operations, and clear communication of the company’s vision to internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies. The incumbent will continuously monitor operations for efficiency improvements, safety targets, and effective control measures.Overall Scope of the Position:Strategy Development & ImplementationRevenue ManagementClient ManagementPeople Management & SupervisionAutonomy in Decision-MakingProblem-Solving Skills & Specific ExpertiseStrategy Development & Implementationo Manage short- to mid-term objectives (6–18 months).o Align operational priorities with overall company goals.o Provide input and recommendations into country business plans.Revenue Managemento May be responsible for budget, revenue, and expense management at the operational, functional, or project level.o Contribute to the annual budget process for the operation or function.Client Managemento Ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded at the project level.People Management & Supervisiono Report to senior management level.o Lead organizational development at the operational or functional level.o Manage people directly and indirectly.o Act as a mentor and/or coach to Level 1 Managers, Supervisors, and high-potential employees.Autonomy in Decision-Makingo Exercise some autonomy in operational decision-making.o Take direction from a Senior Manager.o Make decisions that may impact a region or country.Problem-Solving Skills & Specific Expertiseo Apply advanced depth of knowledge in a particular area of specialization.o Leverage specific technical or professional expertise critical to the country or function’s operations.o Use professional, technical, or operational concepts and principles to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadershipProvide day-to-day leadership and management of IT operations.Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategic plans (sales, operational, HSEQ, technical, personnel).Foster a results-driven, accountable IT culture in both office and field operations.IT ManagementLead IT infrastructure strategy, execution, and management.Oversee technical projects aligned with company goals, including networks, development, and disaster recovery.Supervise the IT team and coordinate with management, vendors, and advisors.Prepare budgets and capital project proposals for senior executives.Direct hands-on IT development and manage internal/third-party development resources.Document and implement new business processes in consultation with operations.Maintain IT processes, procedures, and assurance audits.Research and recommend new technologies, improve IT processes, and identify market opportunities.Ensure consistent service delivery and compliance with corporate policies.Build strong internal client and external vendor relationships.Support financial report development.Administer IT department policies and corporate security protocols.Lead strategic and tactical IT planning, including security, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity.HSEAdhere to all safety policies and procedures.Enforce compliance with the 10 Life-Saving Rules.Exercise Stop Work Authority and Right to Refuse Unsafe Work for self and others.OperationsFollow the Code of Conduct, Business Ethics Policy, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Policy, and all company policies and procedures.Skills & Experience RequiredEducation: Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of field experience and professional development.Experience & Skills10+ years’ progressive IT leadership experience (public company experience preferred).Strong networking and cloud computing knowledge.General understanding of financial systems and consolidated reporting.Advanced communication and influence skills.Proficiency in development environments, programming, and IT project management.Solid industry understanding in both mature and growth markets.MS SQL, ETL tools, and integration experience (asset).Microsoft Great Plains experience (asset).Training & CertificationBasic SAET Training (or as per corporate training matrix)Code of Business Conduct and EthicsAnti-Corruption TrainingOther required corporate training #J-18808-Ljbffr
