Role SummaryResponsible for managing all aspects of tax risks for the entire enterprise. These responsibilities fall into four main categories: financial statement reporting, planning and effective tax rate management, audit defense and compliance. Key AccountabilitiesDirect the preparation, review, and timely filing of federal and state income tax returns.Manage all corporate tax compliance areas including income, sales/use, and property tax.Lead tax-related SEC disclosures and ensure SOX 404 compliance for tax and REIT functions.Oversee IRS and state audits, including managing communications, documentation, and resolution.Develop tax planning strategies that minimize risk and optimize tax positions.Coordinate with external consultants and serve as the internal tax expert across the organization.Support strategic business transactions, including M&A tax planning and post-acquisition integration.Partner with departments like HR, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
