Overview Job Title: Manager, Merchandise Financial Planning — UGG. Reports to: Sr. Director Demand Planning (UGG). Location: United States (Remote). Responsibilities Lead Merchandise Financial Planners to define and lead multi-season Merchandise Financial Plans for the UGG NA marketplace. Set long-range financial plans based on consumer demand and brand commercial strategies; reconcile assortment plans with merchandise financial plans to align to consumer architecture. Inform franchise/style plans, financial forecasts and end-to-end inventory forecasts, including liquidation plans across channels. Collaborate across channels with Merch Planning and Sales Planning to reconcile top-down and bottom-up forecasts (“middle out”) and communicate results with cross-functional and leadership teams. Create and pre-season planning and forecasting for future merchandise forecasts by department, class, channel and country based on historical sales, recurring buys, and projected EOP inventory levels. Establish systematic methods/tools to monitor stock-to-sale ratios and sales trend data to develop forecasts by product category, line, brand, and locations. Incorporate financial reporting and budget requirements into merchandise plans and recommendations. Your Impact Define and lead multi-season Merchandise Financial Plan. Adjust and align Merchandise Financial Plan to consumer architecture based on targets and actuals. Determine (Perform), Pre-Season top-down financial targets (MFP – Consumer Demand, Revenue, Margin and Inventory) for Class/Category, Gender, Channel to inform Franchise/Style plans, Financial Forecasts and E2E Inventory Forecasts. Set and run end-to-end inventory liquidation plans within and across Channel. Define consumer demand, revenue, receipt and inventory plans. Reconcile Top Down and Bottom Up through Middle Out process. Determine cross-channel trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, Deckers and partner margin and optimize overall marketplace inventory health. Develop and manage merchandise financial plans for assigned product categories. Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to align on strategies and execution. Analyze sales, inventory, and margin data to identify trends and opportunities; provide recommendations to optimize inventory levels and profitability. Monitor and adjust plans based on business performance and market conditions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 8+ years’ experience in retail, planning and/or product management. Strong ability to influence and work constructively with others by communicating effectively; listens actively and contributes to advances. Outstanding written/verbal communication, analytical capabilities and attention to detail. Ability to collate and understand relevant market data that informs the Merchandise Financial Plan; assess risk and solve problems to deliver business results. Strong command of retail metrics including Retail Sales, ST%, WOS, Inventories (marketplace + DC), Revenue and Margin with the ability to manipulate data for efficient outcomes. The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and factors including job-related skills, experience, and education or training.
