Audit DirectorSummary:Under minimal supervision, the Audit Director oversees all operational functions of the assigned department or team. Responsibilities include planning and executing business strategies related to services and business development, coordinating activities with peers and other departments, and managing profit and loss results.A Director has similar responsibilities to a Partner but does not have ownership. This role requires advanced knowledge of accounting principles, industry expertise, leadership skills across various business and operational functions, maintaining positive client and employee relations, and delivering high-quality results for the firm.Core Responsibilities:Leading, managing, and holding team members accountable (LMA)Supporting growth strategiesAchieving engagement and financial goals/metrics (financial sustainability)Developing successorsTaking care of the clientEssential Functions:Overall responsibility for the department’s performance; managing and directing policies, objectives, goals, and initiatives through delegation, motivation, and coordination with direct reports.Providing leadership to staff; ensuring a competent, motivated team through hiring, assigning, training, supervising, and performance reviews.Representing the firm to clients and the public; attending client meetings and staff/department meetings.Planning, budgeting, and scheduling of engagements and client work.Managing client relations, including attraction and retention.Performing general services professional duties as needed.Conducting professional standards reviews, such as final report reviews of financial statements, collaborating on accounting, auditing, or financial reporting matters, and reviewing schedules and work papers for misstatements.Standing in for the Partner as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:At least 8 years of experience in public or corporate accounting, including 3-4+ years as a Manager/Senior Manager.Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent coursework.Active CPA license in good standing from the appropriate state.Strong communication skills, including making presentations and responding to inquiries from Partners, clients, and the public. #J-18808-Ljbffr
