OverviewThe Experienced Tax Senior or Manager will be expected to integrate seamlessly into active engagements for charitable organizations, churches and religious organizations, private foundations and other 501(c)(3) organizations, demonstrating strong leadership in managing deadlines, mentoring team members, and maintaining high technical standards. Collaboration with Partners and senior leadership is essential to uphold client satisfaction, operational efficiency, and alignment with the firm’s core pensation: $80K-$140KResponsibilitiesLead complex tax engagements, providing expert advice on federal and state tax issues directly to clients.Supervise and mentor tax engagement teams, fostering technical growth and professional development.Deliver tax planning, research, consulting, and compliance services tailored to various tax-exempt organizations and industries.Manage technical tax matters for charitable organizations, churches and religious organizations, private foundations, various other 501(c)(3) organizations, corporations, partnerships, S corporations, LLCs, and trusts, including their owners.Ensure all assignments are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.Conduct performance reviews, provide guidance, and support career development of junior staff through formal mentorship programs.Participate actively in firm-led continuing professional education (CPE) programs to maintain technical expertise.Assist in researching complex tax issues, preparing technical memoranda, and representing clients in IRS and state tax audits.Oversee client relationship management including proposal development, engagement letters, budgeting, staffing, and billing processes.Qualifications and ExperienceTax Senior (EA is a plus); Manager CPA license requiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field4+ years of recent progressive tax experience at a public accounting firm servicing nonprofit and for-profit tax clientsExtensive expertise in federal and multi-state tax compliance, including Charitable Organizations (Form 990), Private Foundations (Form 990-PF), individual returns (Form 1040), partnerships (Form 1065), S corporations (Form 1120S), C corporations (Form 1120), and fiduciary returns (Form 1041).Solid understanding of financial accounting fundamentals including GAAP and Tax Basis financial statements.Proven project management, supervisory, and leadership abilities.Excellent tax research and analytical problem-solving skills.Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills with a consistently professional and client-focused demeanor.Proven ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities, including cross-selling tax services and supporting the preparation of proposals and client pitches.Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on long-term retention and service expansion.Demonstrated success in collaborating with partners and firm leadership to develop and implement client growth strategies.Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of developing senior associates and staff through coaching, technical training, and performance mitted to cultivating a positive team culture that promotes collaboration, growth, and excellence in client service.Experience leading internal training sessions and contributing to firm learning and development programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
