OverviewMiddleby Outdoor, consumer brands Masterbuilt/Kamado Joe/Char-Griller, is seeking an experienced VP of Sales to lead North America sales. The role manages a team of 6 direct reports and 15 total Sales and Operations individuals across National and Digital Accounts. The VP of Sales for North America will drive best-in-class account management, execute forecasted sales plans, deliver profitable volume growth, and serve as the North American sales leader within the organization. This position reports to the President of Middleby Outdoor.ResponsibilitiesFormulate and deliver a profitable strategic sales roadmap for all North America channels of business.Oversee monthly and annual sales plans for North America to achieve budgeted sales goals.Develop strategies to deliver financial plans (sales, margin, contribution, inventory) including analyzing sales and productivity of items to communicate results and create action plans.Evaluate and oversee the sales operations infrastructure, ensuring commitments are met internally and externally.Enhance, nurture, and build committed relationships that create long-lasting partnerships with our customers.Develop innovative retailer solutions based on consumer insights to achieve shared goals and objectives.Lead negotiations of large, complex retail contracts.Apply excellent fact-based selling and analytical skills to leverage sales analysis and identify opportunities within categories, brands and items.Represent the retail strategy for Executive meetings.Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, Operations and Product Management teams to build and execute strategic plans.Qualifications and Experience10+ years of proven sales experience in the consumer products industry with direct account responsibility of at least $100M in revenue.Experience with a large variety of National Account and digital customers (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon, Walmart).Hardware category experience preferred.Proven success in managing relationships with Merchants, Division Merchandising Managers, Merchandising VPs, Retail Supply Chain Teams, and Store Operations Teams.Strong understanding of omni-channel selling strategies and ability to work with ecommerce merchants.Track record of building long-term customer relationships and growing key accounts.5+ years of managerial experience, including leading a high-performance team of at least 5 people.Familiarity with Sales Ops, order entry, shipping methods, and customer portals.Experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes.Ability to use data (POS, inventory metrics, etc.) and analytics to develop selling strategies.Solid understanding of product and distribution strategies, competitive gap analysis, and emerging product trends.Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization.Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.Bachelor’s Degree.Ability to travel up to 40% and hybrid office schedule.Benefits and Company InformationComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs.Health Savings Account with company-paid HSA contribution when enrolled in the traditional high deductible medical plan.Legal and supplemental insurance available.401(k) Match.Paid parental pany-paid basic life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability insurance.Employee assistance program.Additional information about Middleby Corporation: a global manufacturer of commercial and residential equipment with significant brand portfolio and international presence.About the CompanyMiddleby Corporation is a fast-growing and profitable global manufacturer of commercial foodservice, food processing and residential cooking equipment with approximately $4 billion in revenue, headquartered in Elgin, IL.
