We have a range of graduate roles across our hardware teams. These opportunities are available within: Central Engineering - Central Processing Unit, Central Engineering - Systems, Solutions Engineering - Implementation, and Solutions Engineering - SoC Architecture.Each Group offers a new perspective and challenge within the Hardware Career pathway! During the application process, you will be able to share your interest for a specific Business Group, or opt-in to all Groups broadening your opportunities.We work in small to medium-sized teams with most following modern Agile principles. Engineers share ideas and add to the ideas of others, document and present their work for discussion, and review and support the efforts of others, whilst sharing their findings impartially and your role, you will be introduced to the teams, our ways of working, be treated like any other engineer on the team and supported by experienced engineers.What You Could Be Doing As a Hardware GraduateWork on the specification and development of pre-silicon verification plans.Training and development in the latest modern verification techniquesPerform workload characterization to identify power/performance bottlenecks and to propose solutions.Develop CAD solutions including external EDA tools integration and work as design engineer in vestigating Power, Performance, Area, Time (PPAT) to market and Yield (PPATY) tradeoffs involved in implementation.We Are Looking For Individuals WhoAre currently enrolled and studying towards a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering Degree (Bachelors, Masters or PhD students welcome). Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.Qualities That Will Help Your Application Stand OutUnderstanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including knowledge of areas such as processor pipelines, caches, and memory hierarchy.Fundamental understanding of power and performance concepts as they apply to devices like networking IPs, CPUs, and caches.Excellent programming skills including experience with C++, SystemVerilog, SystemC TLM, Java and/or Python.Experience with Linux and source control systems such as Git.Experience with EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys and Mentor Graphics).We are very keen to hire people with a desire for computer architecture and programming.
