Position: Director of Mission Critical - Hyperscale Data CentersLocation: Columbus, OH (On-Site & Regional Oversight)Company: Top 25 General ContractorA nationally ranked builder is hiring a seasoned Director of Mission Critical to lead delivery of a major hyperscale data center program in the Columbus, Ohio region. This high-impact role provides executive-level oversight of schedule, budget, client relationships, and multidisciplinary teams across all phases of delivery.Key Responsibilities:Lead the full lifecycle delivery of hyperscale data center projects"”from preconstruction through commissioningManage large, integrated teams including PMs, Superintendents, Engineers, Safety, and QA/QC across multiple packagesServe as the primary liaison with hyperscale clients, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, cost, and schedule standardsDrive performance across concurrent scopes (civil, structural, MEP, commissioning)Oversee project staffing, financial reporting, schedule risk, and change managementImplement program-wide best practices, workflows, and continuous improvement strategiesMentor and develop senior project and field staffSupport long-term client partnerships and contribute to regional growth initiativesRequired Skills & Experience:15-20+ years of commercial construction experience, with a strong track record in mission-critical/data center programsProven success overseeing $250M+ hyperscale or complex infrastructure projectsStrong technical knowledge of MEP systems, commissioning, and mission-critical sequencingExceptional leadership, team-building, and executive communication skillsSkilled in managing multiple scopes, tight timelines, and high-performance deliveryProficient in enterprise tools such as Procore, MS Project, Primavera, and BluebeamPreferred Qualifications:Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldExperience with hyperscale clients such as AWS, Meta, Google, or MicrosoftOSHA 30 and PMP certification preferredWilling and able to work full-time on-site in Columbus, OH, with regional travel as needed
