Mechanical Drafter

Job Title: Mechanical Drafter Location: Shelton, Connecticut Job Type: Permanent We are a full-service MEP firm specializing in plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, ductwork, and sprinkler systems for residential and commercial projects. We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Drafter who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take on greater responsibility within a dynamic team. Responsibilities + Translate redlines, sketches, and verbal instructions into accurate AutoCAD and Revit drawings + Draft plumbing and fire protection layouts using CAD and Revit tools + Attend jobsite meetings and oversee scope execution + Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and take-offs + Support budgeting efforts to keep projects on track and under budget + Oversee HVAC, plumbing, and piping installations in commercial buildings Required Skills + 5+ years of MEP design experience + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit + Strong skills in model/paper space, layer management, and dynamic block creation + Revit experience including electrical systems and family creation/modification + Solid understanding of X-Refs and CAD standards + Strong communication and team collaboration abilities + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) Preferred Qualifications + CAD or Revit certification + Experience with commercial, hospital, school, and retail projects + Familiarity with electrical systems Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
