Job Title: Phlebotomist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with at least two years of experience in phlebotomy. Candidates should be reliable, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and possess a bubbly and welcoming personality with strong communication skills. Responsibilities + Perform phlebotomy, including blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens. + Handle paps, putting paps together, biopsies, and swabs with appropriate training. + Collect and store specimens according to established procedures. + Clearly and courteously explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection techniques as required. + Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles. + Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. + Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. + Verify all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure accuracy. + Package specimens for transport. + Store specimen samples according to required temperatures and protocols to maintain specimen integrity. The role involves working Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 5:45 PM at various Hotel Trade sites including locations in Sunnyside, Queens; Harlem; Midtown; and Brooklyn. Consultants typically work up to 45 hours weekly with opportunities for consistent work and potential for direct hire after the contract.
