Patient Service Rep

Job Title: Call Center Representative - Patient Services Location: Burbank, CA Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Patient Service Rep to join our team. This role is responsible for handling inbound calls from patients regarding healthcare services, insurance authorizations, and appointment scheduling. The ideal candidate will have experience in HMO insurance, insurance verification, and a strong commitment to patient care. Key Responsibilities: + Answer inbound calls from patients in a timely and professional manner. + Assist patients with scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage. + Provide accurate information regarding care authorizations and healthcare services. + Document patient interactions and update records in the system. + Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless patient service. + Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Required Skills & Qualifications: + Experience with HMO insurance and insurance verification. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. + Proficiency in using call center software and healthcare systems. + Previous experience in a healthcare or patient services setting preferred. Compliance Requirements: + Must pass a drug test and background check prior to employment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
