Job ***** Estimator – Concrete & Structural Projects (Federal)*****Long Beach, CA Position ***** We are seeking an experiencedEstimatorwith a strong background inconcrete and structural projectsto join our preconstruction team in Long Beach. The ideal candidate will bring priorfederal project experience, with the ability to prepare accurate and competitive bids for large-scale infrastructure and building projects. Key ***** Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents for federal concrete/structural projects Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for formwork, rebar, concrete, and structural elements Develop labor, equipment, and material pricing in line with federal project requirements Solicit and analyze subcontractor/vendor bids and ensure proper scope coverage Prepare bid proposals, cost reports, and value engineering options for review Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and proposal presentations as required Maintain accurate estimating databases and historical cost data for future bids Collaborate with project management and field operations to align estimates with constructability ***** 5–10+ years of estimating experience inconcrete/structural projects Priorfederal project estimating experiencerequired (USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, or similar) Strong knowledge of federal bid procedures and compliance documentation Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, WinEst, or similar) Strong organizational and communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
