Our development roadmap is geared to disrupt the industry by introducing organic modulators and related photonic integrated circuits that have superior speed, lower power consumption, and smaller size than current technologies. Our materials are extendable into other applications, including sensors and quantum computing. Job Description As a growing company, we are seeking an experienced Process Chemistry Manager to lead the company’s scale-up activities at our facility in Englewood, Colorado. This leader will be instrumental in planning and executing the increased production of electro-optic chromophores. They will be responsible for providing strong technical leadership and documentation support for scale-up and manufacturing operations.Key Responsibilities Translate research-stage chemical syntheses into robust, safe, and commercially viable production methods. Lead a team of process chemists in all aspects of production, including allocation of resources, production plans, and quality control. Foster a culture of innovation, safety, collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability. Develop and execute procedures, processes, and methods for solutions to chemical and technical problems on lab and/or plant scale. Ownership and tracking of the bill of materials (BOM), and work order management. Ownership of lab and batch quality control processes and procedures. Advise leadership on lab and space allocation required as production quantities increase. Ownership of process improvement with a focus on yield, purity, throughput, and cycle times. Other duties and special projects as assigned.Requirements: Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred but not required. In-depth knowledge of GLP, CGMP, ISO 9001 standards, and quality control processes. Positive attitude and approachable demeanor. Minimum of 5 years managing and leading teams towards challenging production goals. Minimum of 7 years of experience in process chemistry, process development, or manufacturing within a relevant industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, specialty chemicals, agrochemicals). Ability to provide leadership in all process chemistry aspects of manufacturing processes; leads teams in development, transfer, troubleshooting, and improvement of chemical processes in an interactive, interdisciplinary team environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills within and across departments and to company leadership. Deep understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and mass transfer to ensure successful scale-up. A proactive and results-oriented mindset. In-depth knowledge of safety protocols (e.g., Process Safety Management) and regulatory requirements (e.g., cGMP, ICH guidelines).The salary range for this role is $140,000- $170,000, plus equity.Lightwave Logic offers a highly competitive compensation package including restricted stock awards, stock options, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including fully paid medical, dental, and vision coverage (employee and dependents), a generous PTO policy, $500/year (prorated) company contribution to your medical FSA, and a 401K (safe harbor, 4 % match).Background check upon hire.
