You will be challenged to help the team efficiently maintain , enhance and scale platforms that serve millions of Disney users every this role, you will :Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions for one of the most visible platforms in the sports world.Help evolve and scale a platform that supports mission-critical communication for millions of users daily .Collaborate closely with product and technical leaders to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable systems.Gain and/or apply mastery of Java, Spring, RESTful APIs, event streaming, AWS, and other industry leading high scale technologies for high throughput distributed systemGain and/or apply mastery of relevant NoSQL technologies to optimize our overall performanceWork on performance-optimized infrastructure that handles traffic volumes few engineers ever encounterFeed your thirst for learning new skills and technology as part of the larger DEE T organizationCome help shape the future of interactive platforms underpinning Disney products used by millions of users every day!What You Will Do:Collaborate with other teams to develop estimates, roadmaps, and workflow processes to achieve strategic company objectivesOwn the concept, design, implementation, and maintenance of complex technical projects that anticipate the needs of the business for years to comeBuild consensus and influence decisions through well-reasoned research and explanationsSolve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the businessWrite efficient, reliable, and testable codeReview, analyze, and optimize code for readability, reliability, and performanceDesign and implement automated code and system testsInstrument, monitor , and support live operations of systems your team ownsTroubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered across company platformsManage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentWork autonomously with minimal technical supervisionBe a subject matter expert for your teamWhat You Will Bring:Basic QualificationsMinimum of 5 + year s of professional experienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experienceDeep understanding of the Java programming language and object-oriented programmingProven ability to solve challenging technical problemsProven ability to learn new technology and/or complex systemsHand on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud serviceExcellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred qualifications:Master's Degree in Computer ScienceSelf-starter with proven ability to deliver high quality software in a pragmatic fashionDemonstratable experience using MongoDB or other NoSQL databasesExperience implementing and optimizing dev - ops workflows and related technologiesExperience implementing and optimizing complex cloud software installations and infrastructureExtensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud serviceExperience working on highly scalable, real-time software platforms#DISNEYTECHThe hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $138,900 to $186,200 per year and in Seattle, WA is $145,400 to $195,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
