Senior Airborne Platform Automation Test Engineer

OverviewAs a Gogo Senior Airborne Platform Automation Test Engineer you will be responsible for quality assurance and testing of software for Gogo airborne products on a Linux platform. You will help create, execute and automate tests for both our existing products and our Next Generation 5G Air to Ground and Satcom solutions. You will be part of an experienced test and development team that integrates closely with other teams across the company.Gogo is committed to the development of full automation test tools and complete automated test environments. Verify, validate, and regression test software features including Linux networking, wireless telecommunications and data protocols, mobile communication, and device’s graphical user interfaceCreate test plans, test scripts and test cases for product validation and bug fixes based on system requirementsReview, update, and execute existing automated regression tests and analyze resultsAutomate regression tests via the Gogo GATE frameworkIdentify and effectively troubleshoot software/network problems and implement appropriate corrections Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineer, or equivalent experience4-7 years of software, firmware, and/or system testing experience, including test planning, integration testing and system level testing Required Skills, Experience And Talents Strong QA experience, particularly in automation scriptingFluency in Python 3Experience with Linux and development in Linux OS environmentsHas worked with testing and troubleshooting Linux routing and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, etc), including performance and throughput testing Preferred Skills, Experience And Talents Experience with the Jenkins automation build and test environmentRelevant software configuration management and tools skills using GitLinux server administration skillsSkilled with the Agile software development methodology and SAFe frameworkKnowledge of Linux container concepts, especially Docker relatedWEB GUI test automationHas worked with Avionics and ARINC protocolsProficient with the DO-178C certification processSatellite communication experienceCellular network experience Compensation and Benefits Base Pay: 104,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD AnnualTarget Annual Short-Term Incentive: Bonus Plan at 10% of Annualized Base PayEligible For Incentive Stock Program: YesBenefits: Medical, dental and vision coverage, immediate vesting 401k, paid time off and volunteer time off, Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
