OverviewBoston Tech/ Plymouth Rock Assurance (Commercial) - Job Title: Business Analyst with P&C expLocation: Boston, MA - 4 days/week onsite- locals or nearby onlyClient: Plymouth Rock AssuranceF2F Interview Is Required For The Final Round. MUST HAVE P&C background + claims processing experience. Candidate will be a liaison between business and development teams and will be customer facing to the internal teams. Candidate needs to have a basic understanding of underwriting and claims processing. Business Analyst- Insurance.ResponsibilitiesThe Business Analyst?s primary function is to provide system support to the various business units within the enterprise by means of research, analysis, testing, documentation and training for issues and enhancements related to all systems.Analyze systems and processes within the Personal/Commercial insurance environment and provide recommendations for enhancing workflows to improve processes and identify and correct system issues.Develop detailed Business Requirements and Functional Requirements, ensure requirements are met through Quality Assurance tasks and participate throughout the SDM process.Assist in the development of business solutions in accordance with System Development Methodology including, but not limited to: input to project plans, estimates and schedules; preparation of impact analyses; adherence to project timelines; documentation of requirements; use case development; sign-off of requirements by business; walkthroughs with business and technical teams; creation of Functional Requirements; test planning and participation in systems testing; review of testing results with QA; support UAT; and maintenance of deliverables.Collaborate with business areas, developers and QA to translate and interpret requirements, facilitate walk-throughs, and ensure alignment across teams.Assist in creating test plans and participate in execution of system testing to ensure test cases cover described functionality.Support during user acceptance testing, including defect review and change control decisions before assignment to development.Prepare meeting agendas/minutes and keep deliverables updated as changes occur; maintain issues log and follow through on resolutions.Develop reports and analyses using various query tools as needed.Monitor production system quality and resolve production-related issues during checkout and post-deployment as needed.Ensure BA deliverables are stored in the project folder and support master release planning and post-production testing.Research and analyze production system issues, investigate system, policy and procedural improvements, and articulate full system flow for policy writing, billing, claims and financial systems.Perform analysis to ensure effective implementation of statutory and regulatory changes; conduct ad hoc research projects; coordinate and track problems to resolution.Engage business users and stakeholders in scope description and sign-off; identify project deliverables and exclusions; differentiate between defects and new requirements during project life cycle.Support Change Control management as needed.RequirementsCommunication: Superior verbal and written communication skills.Ability to document business needs in systematic terms and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences; and to translate business needs into IT requirements.Negotiation skills to obtain favorable outcomes; tact in dealing with others.Planning: Ability to see the big picture, analyze current processes/systems, identify options, present proposals, and create logical solutions.Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and manage changing requirements; track changes and adjust timelines/deliverables accordingly.Hands-on experience with P&C insurance, claims processing, underwriting concepts is required.Seniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionResearch, Analyst, and Information TechnologyIndustries: Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
