The global Information Technology (IT) Function aligns IT and business strategy and delivers IT applications, infrastructure, and project services worldwide.Requisition Number: 70826Role PurposeThe Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Solution Architect will work with business leaders, users, and IT resources to define, develop, implement, and support standardized Siemens Opcenter Execution (formerly Camstar) solutions across a global environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic view and understanding of Siemens Opcenter Execution to lead design and development across Corning.Design, implement, and support manufacturing solutions in accordance with standard Corning IT practices.Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution modeling and development tools (Designer and Portal).Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience with .Net, Javascript, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.Engage with internal/external customers to analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective, translating goals into technical solutions. Understand ERP, MES, shop floor controls and their integration to provide a complete plant solution.Ensure MES work is completed on schedule and document/communicate impacts to manufacturing systems as the MES lead on global projects.Create specifications for developers as direction for development.Experiences/Education - RequiredBS/MS in Computer Science / Systems Management / IT related fieldStrong leadership and project management skillsIn-depth knowledge of industry best practices in application development5+ years’ experience using programming languages such as .NET, C#Experience with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environmentIn-depth knowledge of source code management systemsIn-depth knowledge of relational databasesExperiences/Education - DesiredUnderstanding of SDLC, Test Driven Development, CI/CDExperience developing in Siemens Opcenter Execution Designer and PortalExperience working in a Scrum/Agile teamStrong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills (including ability to translate between business and technology needs)Proven track record of implementing IT solutions that meet business demands and are technically soundAbility to continuously prioritize and multitask efficientlyAbility to influence decisions with critical thinking and strategic project understandingExperience with Angular developmentAdditional InformationThis position does not support immigration sponsorship.Salary range for this position is $103,426.00 - $142,211.00, dependent on location, experience, and other factors.
