The ideal candidate will have expertise in real estate/development/construction, job and project costing experience and strong accounting/controllership experience.The CFO role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.CFO Key Responsibilities:Financial Leadership & Strategic PlanningDrive the development and execution of financial strategies that align with the company’s growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability goals.Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to evaluate business opportunities, acquisitions, and new development initiatives.Provide expert guidance on capital structure, financing strategies, and risk management.Financial Operations & ReportingOversee accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple entities, delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual statements to management, investors, and financial institutions.Lead the budgeting process, long-range financial planning, and forecasting.Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.Continuously improve financial systems, internal controls, and reporting processes through best practices and innovation.Cash Flow & Capital ManagementManage company-wide cash flow to support development, construction, and property management operations.Maintain and strengthen relationships with financial partners including banks, lenders, and insurance providers.Oversee the structuring and negotiation of financing arrangements for acquisitions, developments, and long-term assets.Tax Strategy & Regulatory ComplianceSupervise the preparation of tax schedules and coordination with external accountants for LLCs and S-Corporation entities.Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.Act as the primary liaison with CPA firms, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies.Team Leadership & Organizational CollaborationLead and develop the Accounting, IT, and HR teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.Champion talent development, succession planning, and mentorship across the finance function.Promote cross-departmental collaboration to support operational efficiency and company-wide goals.CFO Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including prior CFO or senior finance executive roles.Strong background in real estate development, property management, or construction industries highly preferred.Demonstrated expertise in financial strategy, capital markets, and investor relations.Proven experience managing complex, multi-entity organizational structures.Strong executive presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Advanced systems knowledge and ability to drive technology adoption in finance and operations.UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
