About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use):12About the Role: Associate Director, Fixed Income Index Calculation and DistributionThe Team:The Fixed Income Index Calculation and Distribution Team (FI ICAD) within the Global Index Management & Production Group (IMPG). The global team is responsible for the production and management of a wide range of indices covering equities, fixed income, options, futures, commodity, digital assets and economics indices.Responsibilities and Impact:The team is primarily responsible for the daily calculation, validation and dissemination of fixed income indices and associated data. The successful candidate will manage a team of analysts responsible for the production of global, S&P and iBoxx-branded, Fixed Income indices, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Associate Director will ensure calculation inputs are validated, oversee calculations and analyze corporate events, whilst staying abreast of market trends to inform decision-making.An exciting opportunity to advance your career with a leading index provider and work alongside industry experts in the fixed income space. As a vital member of the Global FI ICAD team, your contributions will focus on optimizing the management of fixed income product calculations and dissemination, while mentoring and developing your team. You will collaborate with global stakeholders, enhance your skill set, and contribute to upholding and enhancing the reputation and integrity of S&P Dow Jones Indices and the S&P and iBoxx brands.Lead a team of analysts responsible for the validation of inputs used for index calculation to ensure data integrity, including corporate action analysis, price validation and market data assessment.Perform quality assurance validations to ensure accuracy and integrity of the index values to be distributed to clientsOversee and optimize daily operating processes for global indices, proactively investigating system alerts and coordinate with the technology team to resolve issues efficiently.Manage product delivery ensuring timely dissemination of intraday and end-of-day index data to clients and end users.Collaborate with the technology development team to drive automation and enhance our system capabilities.Cultivate and maintain key relationships with other groups within the department and across other departments, particularly Product Management, Client Coverage, Index Services and Technology Teams.Lead the integration of new products into the daily operations cycle.Lead and mentor a diverse team of analysts located across different geographical locations in the Americas, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work pensation/Benefits Information:(This section is only applicable to US candidates)S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $93,144 to $133,455. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. For more information on the benefits we provide to our employees, please click here.What We’re Looking For:Basic Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Mathematics, Economics, IT Finance disciplinesMinimum of 5 years of professional experience working in a financial services or analytics role, with a preference for experience working within the fixed income -depth understanding of financial markets, asset classes and company fundamentalsCandidates will have demonstrated experience in managing a team of analysts and a track record of motivating and developing team members effectively.Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly excel, with advanced analytical capabilitiesStrong Analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skillsMust be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities to address complex, non-routine problems in a timely and insightful mannerExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.Additional Preferred Qualifications:Experience in databases (SQL) as well as programming languages such as Python and VBA would be beneficialRight to Work Requirements:This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.About S&P Global Dow Jones IndicesAt S&P Dow Jones Indices, we provide iconic and innovative index solutions backed by unparalleled expertise across the asset-class spectrum.
