Manager, Financial Reporting - Western Union

Want to work for a company where you can offer B2B clients ground-breaking digital solutions in pretty much any currency you can think of?We’re seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting in our Western Union Business Solution Financial Reporting team, based in our Denver, Colorado office (global headquarters).Key responsibilities include:Leading a seasoned team in preparing audited financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other local standards, serving as the planning contact for external auditorsReviewing periodic unaudited financial statements and regulatory filings essential for maintaining operating licensesManaging complex general ledger accounting tasksSupporting team development in technical accounting expertiseQualifications needed:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldActive CPA license5-7+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS experience preferredExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigher workload during reporting seasonsExperience in designing controls and proceduresExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelTechnologically adept with a desire to learn new toolsPreferred additional skills:Experience with income tax provisions and transfer pricing across jurisdictionsExperience in multi-currency accounting environmentsAbility to identify and implement process improvementsProactive leadership in critical projectsStrong collaboration skills with Tax, Treasury, Finance, Internal Audit, and Legal teamsExperience with enterprise financial systems like Oracle and HFMBenefits include:Competitive global pay and benefitsUnique experience with a market leader in FX payment solutionsWork within a diverse, global teamAbout Western Union:The Payments Business Unit of Western Union is a leading provider of international business payments and foreign exchange, supporting over 130 currencies and operating in over 200 countries.
